Full-time, 35 hours per week, initially until 31 March 2015, thereafter dependent on funding.

Chief Executive - Merton Voluntary Service Council

Full time Salary £57,000 - £62,000 Plus Pension

This is an outstanding leadership opportunity to support the trustees of Merton Voluntary Service Council to take forward our award winning organisation, following the merger with Volunteer Centre Merton.

As our new Chief Executive you will work closely with the Board and Senior Management Team to develop and deliver our forward strategy.

  • You should work effectively in partnership, with proven business development and income generation experience, along with a passion for supporting community action in all its manifestations.
  • You should enjoy the challenges of leading a busy organisation, and can evidence a successful track record of managing people and resources.
  • You will be the ambassador for our organisation but also effectively promote volunteering, community action and active citizenship in Merton.

Positive leadership, representation and influence are at the heart of this role.

London for All is a programme of support for the voluntary and community sector in London, funded by London Councils. It is delivered by LVSC in partnership with Race on the Agenda, Women's Resource Centre, London Advice Services Alliance and the HEAR network and helps organisations to become more efficient, deliver accessible services and better support Londoners.

We are now looking for an experienced Network Development and Partnership Support Officer who will develop partnership working within the project, support the networks and work with partners and colleagues on monitoring and reporting.
