Focus on Independent Theatre Council
A profile of VSF member ITC and one of their projects Fast Track. The aim of the project is to get more disabled people working in management positions in London based Arts organisations.
The Independent Theatre Council (ITC) is the management association and political voice of around 700 performing arts professionals and organisations. ITC provides its members with legal and management advice, training and professional development, networking, regular newsletters and a comprehensive web resource. Additionally ITC initiates and develops projects to enrich, enhance and raise the profile of the performing arts.

Fast Track project for disabled people
Fast Track is due to start at the end of April and is a project run by the Independent Theatre Council. The aim of the project is to get more disabled people working in management positions in London based Arts organisations.
Fast Track combines a 15-week work placement at a performing arts venue with management training in topics including marketing and negotiating contracts. Participants also receive a bursary payment of £2250 and ongoing mentoring and support.
The project is run in conjunction with Shape and is funded by the London Development Agency.
We are currently seeking applications from disabled people. The application pack for this includes a project summary and frequently asked questions.
