Support for information workers

Information Workers can get support from the following services:

Cascade - A Network for London's Second Tier Information and Communication Workers

A network for information and communication  workers in second tier organisations across London. Through improving skills and building on the knowledge and capacity of those who do information work in the voluntary sector, Cascade aims to improve the quality of information available to voluntary and community groups.

Cascade aims to develop a learning environment that will provide networking for members, and a learning programme that will offer members the space to share skills, knowledge and experience.

The network will be offering:

  • Learning Sessions on information work themes like writing for the web, developing effective newsletters and ICT solutions.
  • Two annual conferences on hot topics identified by members.
  • Cascade Tools - a collection of resources for information workers.
  • The Cascade Directory - access members' skills and experience on various aspects of information work.
