Third Sector Alliance (3SA)

Third Sector Alliance (3SA) is London's regional policy network for infrastructure organisations in the Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS). 3SA aims to promote and support the effective engagement, contribution, and influence of the VCS as partners in policy development within the region.

3SA is LVSC's generic policy network. It was set up in the spring of 2000 to support London's Voluntary and Community organisations in playing a leading role in the development and implementation of policy in London. It has a growing membership which is currently close to 250 VCS members, plus additional 'friends of 3SA' which includes key partners in the statutory sector.

The work of 3SA is currently funded by Capacitybuilders under the Regional Networks Fund (2009-11), although LVSC's policy work delivered through 3SA is underpinned by funding from BASIS (Big Lottery) and London Councils.

3SA is a sister network to MiNet (Minority Ethnic Network) - the London Regional BAME policy network which is hosted by ROTA (Race on the Agenda).

Benefits of 3SA membership

How to join

Full membership is open to all VCS infrastructure organisations that work in three or more London boroughs, provide support to other organisations, and want to influence regional agendas. Associate membership is also available for organisations who do not strictly meet this criteria but have an interest in 3SA work.

The network aims to be representative of all sections of Voluntary and Community Sector in London. Its membership currently includes representation of many parts of the Voluntary and Community Sector.
