VSF Steering Group
The VSF steering group currently has 14 members and meets six times a year. The steering group consists of representatives from a range of sector organisations funded by London Councils.
VSF is required to elect a steering group which will ensure that the sector is consulted, and its views represented to the London Councils Grants Committee (LCGC).
Steering group meetings are serviced by the Policy and Networks Development Officer at LVSC.
Steering Group Governance
- An election will be held amongst LC funded groups and each elected representative will serve on the VSF steering group for 2 years
- VSF will have 12 elected members and up to 8 co-options. Co-options will occur twice a year as a maximum
- Membership of the steering group will have regard to maintaining a balance between the different sectors of voluntary activity and to maintain an equal opportunities balance amongst members
- The role of the VSF steering group is to collectively represent the interests of all LC funded groups to the LCGC
