The next employment law and HR conference especially for London's voluntary and community sector will take place at The Window, 13 Windsor Street, Islington, London N1 8QG

- Managing redundancy and considering alternatives

Managing Better
Our last conference took place on 16 March 2010 at The Window, 13 Windsor Street, Islington, London N1 8QG
The event aimed to help trustees, management committee members, chief executives, managers, development workers and advisors implement better HR practice in the voluntary and community sector.
- Delegates heard from experts in employment law, HR and management
- They benefited from practical workshops and presentations on topics ranging from supporting and managing employees with mental health problems, developing your skills as a manager, to avoiding redundancy
- Speakers and workshop leaders included Victoria Cook of Bates Wells & Braithwaite, Cathy Busani of Happy Ltd, Alex Tambourides of Mind, Claudia Demuth and Clare Knights of the PEACe advice service .
- One-to-one advice surgeries with the PEACe team were also available
- Delegates had an opportunity to share experiences and network with colleagues from other frontline and second tier organisations
