Engage and Connect with Social Media

13 January 2010  10am-4.30pm

Venue: The Window, 13 Windsor Street, Islington, London N1 8QG

This full day event will provide your chance to really get your teeth into social media and how it could enhance your engagement with members and other audiences. We will start by looking at how to decide if social media is the way forward for your organisation and how to strategically plan for effective use.

Workshops will include:

  •  A case study from Women's Resource Centre who are using a variety of social media tools
  • Cultivating online communities - being a good community manager

There will be plenty of time to see live demos of some of the more commonly used tools such as Twitter, Facebook, and blogs.

Other topics that we aim to cover will be legal implications of using social media and any other questions that we get from you either before or during the event.

Speakers:

Rachel Beer - Founding Partner of beautiful world

Leah Williams, Head of Communications at Women's Resource Centre

Laura Whitehead, freelance web designer, Popokatea
