Focus on SETLL partnership
Social Enterprise Transforming the Lives of Londoners (SETLL) is a partnership of Londons top social enterprise agencies funded by London Councils. It is a unique programme that brings together the individual expertise of the partners to provide a one-stop shop for social and community enterprises.
The partnership will deliver a programme of co-ordinated specialist support to organisations and individuals across all London boroughs, over four years 20082011. Services will range from information sharing and open access events through to intensive support (up to five days).
The Partnership
This is made up of five key organisations in the field of social enterprise support and development:
Social Enterprise London (SEL) promoting best practice and skills development for social enterprises, offering introductory sessions on principles of social enterprise and sustainability for small community and social enterprises
Development Trust Association (DTA) Specialist support to new community enterprises
arising out of asset transfer and procurement contract initiatives through 1-2-1s and specialist workshops
London Rebuilding Society (LRS) Preparation and support to develop Mutual Aid Fund programmes from BAME/refugee-based self-help membership organisations
Training for Life (TfL) Specialist support in building a capital asset base, including introductory seminars, access to a social enterprise toolkit and 1-2-1 support from business coaches
School for Social Entrepreneurs (SSE) Support fledgling entrepreneurs through provision of a 12-month training programme, including on-line support, inspirational speakers, project visits, action learning, 1-2-1 coaching and mentoring
