The 2012 Games: Opportunities for the Third Sector
Find out about opportunities for the Third Sector around the London Olympic and Paralympic Games and their legacy.
LVSC is working with Greater London Volunteering and The Big Opportunity project to provide information on opportunities available for the Third Sector. This includes a helpline and a series of events to help your organisation:
Find out about contract and sub contract opportunities
- Access funding streams
- Get involved in consultations about the legacy
- Find out about opportunities around the Cultural Olympiad
- Inspire local people to get involved in sporting activity
- Find out about training and job programmes
- Access pre-volunteering programmes
These services are supported by the LDA.
The Big Opportunity Direct Helpline
A telephone helpline and email service is currently being run by Greater London Volunteering to help individuals and third sector organisations find out more about getting involved with the Games.

Events
The Big Opportunity working in partnership with London Voluntary Service Council, will also be hosting two major conferences for the Third Sector on:
- 5th November 2008 at Ealing Town Hall and
- 2nd December 2008 at Stratford Old Town Hall.

The Olympic Development Authority, LOCOG and the London Development Agency now produce a free monthly e-bulletin targeted at the Voluntary and Community sector. Involve contains information about jobs, training and community initiatives related to the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
