What is VSF?
· An independent network bringing together all the Voluntary and Community Sector Organisations funded by London Councils
· Hosted and co-ordinated by London Voluntary Service Council (LVSC) and managed by a steering group elected from the membership

· A co-ordinated voice for London Councils funded organisations
· Engagement with London Councils through regular dialogue and consultation
· Timely information on London Councils policy, processes, procedures and Grants Committee discussions
· Advocacy and campaigning on your behalf
· Advice about funding and commissioning
· Relationship building with key London Councils officers and members
· Opportunities to network, share information and good practice with other London Councils funded organisations
· Promotion and awareness-raising for your organisation’s work
· A monitoring role on all key London Councils policies, processes and procedures

How can you get involved?
Organisations funded by London Councils are automatic members of VSF. As a member you will receive full benefits and the opportunity to join the VSF steering group.
Non-funded organisations can keep up to date with key London Councils issues by joining the Friends of VSF distribution list email: vsf@lvsc.org.uk
VSF: a forum with impact
In 2006 VSF ran a successful six-month campaign to oppose the proposed cut of 33% to the London Councils grants budget to London’s voluntary and community sector.
By coming together member organisations influenced the London Councils Grants Committee and helped to preserve the budget.
